Introduction

A new blog by me~ where in this blog im going to write only about the catholic faith and my other blog mainly about what i encounter in my life's journey. Sometimes people refer Catholic and Christian as two different distinct faith. Well, actually Catholic is Christian.

Okay, so basically, Christian means "follower of christ",  where the believers of Jesus Christ was first called "christians" in the new testament, in Acts 11:25. The term "Catholic" was first used in the 2nd century to describe the universal church to emphasize the universal scope and it has been incorporated into the largest christian communion, the "Latin Rite Catholic Church" where it is headed by the current pope, "Pope Benedict the XVI".

The pope is the head of the latin rite catholic church, The pope is the bishop of Rome and the successor of St.Peter, the first pope. The pope is also the "Vicar of Christ" on Earth. The servant of servants. He works as the shepherd of the "sheeps" in place of Jesus on Earth.

Many skeptics argue about the role of Pope and the Catholic Church. However, based on the scriptures, Matthew 16: 17-19,  Jesus said to Simon, son of Jonah these words, "And i say to you Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church"

Peter, (Kepa in aramaic & Kephas in Greek) literally means "the rock". Jesus entrusted to St.Peter on building His church where he received the "keys to the kingdom of heaven", he is the 1st among the equal among the apostles. And when St.Peter and St.Paul preached the Catholic Faith in Rome, he appointed St.Linus, as his successor to tend and guide the flocks of Jesus Christ. I will update more later

Btw, aramaic is the original language used by Jesus in that time
